Man City vs Burnley highlights and reaction as Riyad Mahrez scores hat-trick in rout
Manchester City put their goalscoring issues behind them with a big win over Burnley in the Premier League this afternoon.
City welcomed back Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy this week, before Nathan Ake was the final returnee to training to complete Pep Guardiola's squad looking ahead to the clash with the Clarets. Guardiola did not play Ake or striker Sergio Aguero, to avoid rushing them back.
Guardiola was asked before the match whether he was concerned with City's poor goalscoring form that has seen them go the last two league games without winning. However, the boss simply told his side to keep on creating chances, predicting that the goals will come if his side remain positive.
With two upcoming Champions League games to play having already secured qualification to the next round, Guardiola can fully focus on the Premier League in the next three weeks.
City started the game well, scoring three first half goals through Riyad Mahrez (2) and Benjamin Mendy. Ferran Torres made it four after the break, before Mahrez completed his hat-trick to seal a morale-boosting win.
